Beautiful recording that takes you inside the music and the relationships within the band like no other recording I have heard to date.
What’s the best way to get ahold of the Esher Sessions? I heard seven of the cuts are on Anthology 3 but I also heard The Esher Sessions themselves are hard to get with good SQ. Do they come with the new Deluxe 50th Anniversary stuff

I just saw this album listed in a list of all time great stoner albums. Is it a good one for that? I just went to YouTube and although there are some great long rifts...the grunge rock doesn't do it for me. Sounded a little like "Iron Man" at times which I do like a lot. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

60 years ago today the plane went down in the Iowa cornfield that killed Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper, and Richie Valens. Just days before, the young Bob Dylan saw his idol Buddy Holly at the Duluth Armory. The band was forced to travel in an old school bus with no heater to Green Bay, Wisconsin from Duluth in sub-zero weather. The drummer was hospitalized. After a show in Iowa, Buddy couldn’t take it anymore and got a small plane to take him and a couple of the guys to the next show. Two minutes after takeoff it crashed in the cornfield killing everyone

I like it and it does remind me of Black Sabbath at times. I probably wouldn’t have bought it except it was only $2. If you have a Spotify account all their albums are there.
Would I buy more of their albums if I found them cheap enough ?? Yes I would

I think I would too! I'd like a CD of this album. I could FF through the rough stuff and thoroughly enjoy the other 90% of the album. Some sounds sounded spacey even on my PC system! Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

Cool Receiver!
Thanks Tony
I picked it up in Ohio last spring while visiting my youngest. Her fiancé works at a local chain CD/LP shop. Sitting high on a shelf and priced at $50. With his store discount I got it for $30. The only issue was all the bulbs were burnt out. Special frosted bayonet type. I found a Tandberg guru at Audiokarma you had replacements. I got his last for bulbs.
Tandberg TR-3030. It’s only 20 wpc but it does a fine job

Cool Spot! Tandberg was "A" Level gear back then for sure! I ALWAYS loved their styling!
All these old receivers, amps and tuners and Cd players that still work for the most part and nowadays some receivers can't last 3 years.
I want to move away from older gear but still know about their longevity and repair ability if something does go awry. I'm thinking Parasound and Pass Labs the past few months but they're just out of reach right now. Maybe a Parasound A21 is within reach I guess. Most people just listen to music and watch movies.
