Now your talking, is Nico on those recordings?

No Nico on this one (1993). I think she was more the early 80's era wasn't she? . . . but definitely a great voice and HOT back in the day!

I agree the voice and sound effects on alot of his songs shine on the SDAs...

Still haven't heard SDA's, but this song sounds good on my rig also. I actually really like this song, and the girl from the video isn't too bad either ;)

Right now listening to Victor Wooten, probably my favorite bassist, or at least a tie with Marcus Miller.

I misread your original post, I thought it said 1973 . . . Duh! I guess I should start wearing my reading glasses again.

I'm listening to a song I haven't heard in a dog's age. Most of you younger guys wouldn't remember this, I wouldn't imagine, but it's a good tune to me. Brings back memories of me as a young man fiddling with my rig not really knowing a damn thing about high fidelity audio.

    Spandau Ballet's "True".

Wow, I don't recall there being a video. I must be getting old.

Decided to switch it up a bit and pluck out something else I haven't heard in a while. Skid Row's Slave to the Grind CD. I think I liked it better as a kid. :(

Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks

    SACD

    B0000C8AVM.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

This album may not be Dylan's best album (definitely top 3 though)...but it has my favorite Dylan song...."Tangled Up in Blue".

This SACD is an excellent recording.

Don't agree much with his politics (which permeates through his music) but I still am a huge fan of him as a musician.

I wish more of his stuff was available here. He's just brilliant.

I already liked a fair bit of the music you listen to Mike, but have broadened my range much wider thanks to your posts in this thread. That sounds like a cliche....lol

    - I also just listened to Black Sabbath; Paranoid and it's really stunning how advanced Ozzy's speech impediment has become since then. "Sex, Drugs & Rock and Roll" sure sounds fun until the reality of hitting your 50's sets in!

I always loved Sly & the Family Stone. However you could never count on him showing up for his concerts. I went to see him three times back in the day and he only showed up once. Bummer as it was, the concert he did show up for was absolutely one of the most enjoyable.
