I watched a movie on TV that I hadn’t seen in several years starring Steve Buscemi and a young Scarlet Johansson among others entitled "Ghost World" and remembered the song used in the main title. I'm sure a lot of you remember the film and the title song too. I had heard it before and always thought it was pretty-cool so I Googled it today.
It is called “Jaan Pehechaan Ho” and was originally featured in an Indian “Bollywood” film from 1965 called “Gumnaam”. There was a lot of cool music from other parts of the world back then that went largely un noticed by the masses in the West. Another area of the world that had some great psych/pop in the ‘60s was Cambodia.
Here’s the original dance scene from Gumnamm in 1965…cool stuff.Mohammad Rafi - Jaan Pehechaan Ho (1965)Jaan Pehechaan Ho – Dance scene from the film “Gumnaam” -
Saving SACD players one dumpster dive at a time;

o.k. so the Sony wasn't recognizing the SACD layer no matter what SACD
was played. NP popped the lid and cleaned the lens w/ alcohol. Bingo.
SACD layer, Multi, reading a-happening! Swapped the cheezy RCAs for
silver Signals. Now we are in business.
