Bi-Wiring

gidrah,
again my point stands. It's not about what brand you use,not about the purity of the copper, how they build there cables, what color the jacket it,how cool it looks, how much they kill you on the price............it's about overall sound quality.
If Home depot wire sounded better I would use that.If running a single run sounded better then a bi wire of the same wire or of a higher oor thicker qualitywire, then I would use that.
I think sound quality gets overlooked to much when going technical.Spec's don't equal sound quality.Reasons after it's proved to be a better sounding cable is fine but not before.
Listen first and you'll see.Dan

While I know that somewhere they mine "audio copper", I just don't see it on the table of elements.
its a "super" secret held by only the high end wire manufactures; however, they call it "audiophile copper".:p

Actually, some cable companies use single crystal copper for their wires, not easy to make that stuff.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

I prefer to avoid anisotropic materials, because I don't want to have to worry about which direction my cable is going.

Well since we've strayed enough from the original post:
Most amps won't do 65 damping factor. And even if they did, most speakers wouldn't know a 1000 damping factor if they saw one. The capacitance is another issue. One best solved between you and your amp.
I drank my twins blood for every drop of alcohol he had.
my outlaw is rated @850... ya gotta luv solid state:)
If you want to change the response of a crossover I would guess that a 10 foot run of cat5 wrapped around your hand is fine to start with. Solder the cat5 to the biwire so we have an rc circuit(parallel). the r is the guiding factor in decay. is that right??? my greek is old;)
What sounds best to you is what is most important.
i think i have some catching up but am up for the challenge

Guys,
can any of you post some results of a hearing test?
I'm more intrested in what the end result is over what it's made out of or why.Not wanting to interupt here but It would be cool to read what you guys are hearing...............
