They are a solid 8.5/10. The only thing that bugs me are 2 dented dust covers. Where can I get replacement MW 6510s to make them nearly perfect again.

BTW, it was well worth the drive to Dallas!

Why replace if dust cap is the only issue?
You can simply pull it out.

Edit: here is a pic of a driver with dust cap pushed in that I managed to pull out.

I use a vacuum to pull mine out, works like a charm. Put the hose on the dust cap then turn on the vacuum, when you hear it pop shut the vacuum off before pulling the hose away.

I have done about 10 of them. If one is real stubborn, take the thinnest needle you can find, bend the very tip of it about 90% poke the center of the dent, and pull it up, just take your time it can be done! and will look great..

No reason to replace the dust cap if it's just a dent..

He's not only talking about replacing dust cap, he wants to replace the whole driver because of dented dust cap.

Alright guys, enough laughter. I tried the vacuum trick to no avail. I tried the bent needle trick, to no avail. What now? Apparently these have been pushed in for quite some time and have taken a "set" and don't want to straighten out again. This is not my first rodeo.

    My friends....sheesh!

With stubborn dust caps, take an artists or flux brush, dip it in Windex, saturate the dust cap, and wait about a minute. Then do the vacuum procedure. It may take two or three attempts, but you should end up with a dust cap that's at least presentable.

Was reading a thread on CP yesterday about alignment of mid/woffer magnets that had shifted. They actually removed the dust cap by carefully cutting the cap off and using craft glue to reapply. looked to be difficult and would require a surgical level of skill so hopefully the vacuum trick works. Other than cosmetics do than sound good.

They sound great! Better than my 2.3s. The top end is a little smoother.

So 2.3's or 2.3TL's for the win?

I have been enjoying them immensely. However, it comes to my attention that they are just a bit too laid back for my tastes and I'm going to go with something a little less colored. The 2.3TLs will probably have to vacate the premises soon.

I can't thank you all enough for all the words of encouragement and help. I'll be building a pair of FR speakers next week as well as keeping my Infinity RSIIIbs.

wow...after spending considerable hours with my new to me 2.3tls, which I updated the tweeters and switched out the SDA inductor, I feel they walk away from my Infinity RSIIIb's. I have them both in my main listening area and did some evaluation of them both this last week. What really shocked me was the SDA sound stage remained unaffected when powering both sets at the same time. This was present even as the gain on the AMP powering the Infinity speakers was progressively increased. The RSIII's sit inside the 2.3's at 9 feet center to center. The polks are at 12 feet center to center. My ear is at , I guess I have two ears, 13 feet back from the speaker sets. The overall impact with both sets driven was remarkable. The other thing I noticed was the cabinet resonance on the Infinity was a lot more than the Polks with my crude measurement devise...my hands. Needless to say, neither of these speakers leave my house!
