Surround bar 3000 default volume

Is there a way to adjust the default volume? Every time I turn on the TV, I have to quickly turn down the volume on the sound bar by about 6 levels or it blasts me out of the room. I can't find any information on this and no controls that seem to apply.

    Hello,
    Welcome to Polk's forum. The volume of your SurroundBar should be the same as when it was turned off. If it isn't try this, turn the SB to the standby mode the LED should be red. Push the "learn" button for about 2 seconds and the LED should turn amber and blink. This will erase any extraneous programming and allow the bar to respond just to the Polk remote.
