PolkAudio 3000 - Volume reduces on its own

Hi,

I bought the SB about christmas and it was working fine. Suddenly now the volume decreases on its own until nothing comes out of the speakers. I did not program any other remotes to the SB. I tried to unplug the power from the SB and woofer for about a minute to reset it, but it did not help. I occasionaly used my dreambox remote to lower the volume of the box not the SB. Maybe that did something to the SB. I can increase the volume and it works again for 10 minutes and then the volume goes down again on its own. The blue light on the SB flash while it does it, similar to when I manually increase or decrease the volume. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hello,
That is definitely an unusual symptom, to say the least. Try this, put the SB in standby, the LED will be red. Then touch the "learn" button for about 2 seconds, the LED should turn amber and blink. This means the internal memory has been wiped clean of any external instructions. The Polk remote will continue operating the bar.
