Sorry to thread resurrect, but I been thinking for my Polk SDA 1b's, I might just use some decent speaker terminal cups and then use quality speaker wire for my interconnect. I like the SpeakOn terminals, but then don't you have to put in a receptacle in the back, and do you use a 2 or 4 terminal SpeakOn? So many questions, sorry, total noob on this.
I also plan on completely dismantling these speakers, building new bases (old ones got wet from previous owner) adding some rock putty to the inside bottoms, recap, etc.
Would appreciate any/all advice and any relevant links. Thank you. -

I am sure that everyone will be agahst but I used stranded copper 8 gage car stereo wire and high quality Home Depot extention cord ends (the replacement ones) to make my interconnect. Yes, I have blade blade connectors so only one cable was required so it made it easy to make and use. It will not stay that way but for now it works just fine.. -
