Yes and no.. u can connect something on the left side and it is making contact to the right left. U really need to look at a emtpy service box to see how switxhes connect to understand. Do a search on youtube for it.Full 5 channel set of Polk Audio

When you guys refer to a separate leg or same leg, do you mean the left and right side of the breaker panel? Each side being a leg?
Watch this video.. catch a couple of mins in and he explains it pretty good.

A | B
B | A

So a double breaker has an A and a B leg connection. -
Thanks guys!

I should point out that a "double pole breaker" is two breaker's linked together (one on each leg) in a single package.
While in a "dual breaker" both breaker's are on the same leg. -
Finally got it done tonight! 3 lines and a ton of planing. Done at around 11:30pm so i cant test it all out till tomorrow. ..... god i cant wait to crank it!
P.S. went with 30 amp breakers. One single and a double 30 amp breaker. Both amps on there own circuit cause i can and everything else on the other.
What a project though going from across the basement and up 2 floors to get the lines to the loft.
Bought the line the later on decided to use conduit and pushed 50' of conduit over 83.3' of wire for ea run. What a pain but wanted to do it right covering.the run over the living areas..
Anyways.. wheres my beer assistant? HahaFull 5 channel set of Polk Audio

Sounds like i went out and bought up 1000watt mono blocks! Haha..
Right away i noticed more mid range.. the low end has way much punch to it as well. I can actually feel the slam on my body. Then i was surprised and thrilled at how quiet it was! No freaking static noise between tracks! Wow! That always bothered me. Im sitting there with a huge smile in my face!
To get a reaction out of my wife is seriously a tuff job. Any comment really as she could care less.. finally shes's listening to her song (alter bridge blu-ray concert accoustic soung.. wonderful life its called). Her.she just spits out wow.. sounds like hes singing right in front of me! No freaking way! Haha.. that right there was worth all the bruises to my arms pulling conduit threw the floor joists!
On top of all that.. the biggest thing i.noticed.was that.it does not sound like i need to wall treat my room anytime soon! Before when i got the volume to hjgh to upper.volumes it would hurt my ears as iy would be soo damn bright sounding. Forsure i had echo probs and it would be the next big project.. i can now crank it well past what i dared to do prior and it sounds flipping awesome!! Amazing! Seriously! I mean im flipping out thinking i might.be over extending my 250 watt speakers cause the leds are about maxed out on my xpa-2 amp. But me wants more! Haha.
Just awesome! Would do it all over again if had to!
That was the one thing that my wife kept asking me.. u think its worth all this?? I hope so i said.
I told the wife that.ill still treat.the walls.as.everyone says its important and makes that much of an improvement.. but just.not now.. no rush. New old house and i got my first summer soon and lots of outdoor projects to get to first!
Dreamed of deadicated power for my ht for the past 10 years and could not do it at our condo!

Yeah.. cut 3x 83.3' lines and then ended up getting bare conduit and pushed about 64' of line threw that. Would of been nice to just of grabbed wire already in conduit bit it was a last minute change and would of peob cost me 3x as much if i did.Full 5 channel set of Polk Audio

It was a lot of work but now you're smiling. And look at the money you saved and the satisfaction of doing it yourself.
As a carpenter by trade doing electrical have always been difficult.
So like you I took on the challenge and now enjoying results.
Cheers

Yup truely was a learning experiance!
I did it all myself till the very end as i had my father over to assist with installing the wires into the breaker box.. still did it all myself as he just said what to do. Hes old school and i never see him turn the power off when hes doing electrical. Dobt recomend that as i think hes nuts for it but here im carefully wiring up lines to breakers in the box without pulling the main and i didnt get shocked.
He even told me about some tip he learned long ago from an electriction. If ur using thick gage wires and having trouble pushing in a switch or outlet into a box u could just twist on a smaller gage wire on the end to make it easier.. i guess thst short of distance would not hurt but i didnt.do that! Haha.. since i had a metal box i just sat there and used all my weight to push those outlets into the box.
Now i know why electricians dont want to deal with 10 gage wire! HahaFull 5 channel set of Polk Audio

Don't mean to be rude but your Dads an lunatic not only did I turn off the power I checked about three times with with a meter and stilled flinched when I installed the breaker.
Cheers

Yeah i agree.. he just says u gota know what not to touch.
I remeber being like 18 and my old man was putting in a dedicated line for my pc.. i was watching him wire the breaker and him handing me a large board and telling me if something happends to hit him real hard to knock him away from the box haha.. that was 20 something years ago. Hes gota be close to 70 now.
Yeah i had my multimeter out testing the old 50 amp breaker i removed from the old hot tube i removed last fall. Made sure it was off before removing the black wires.
Personally i'll be pulling rhe main if i ever do any other wiring in the service box..Full 5 channel set of Polk Audio
