Definitely NO. The Polk SL1000s, which replaced the Peerless, are upgradable to the RDO-194-1s

Looking at the Monitor 10A Peerless and the Monitor 10B SL-2000 XO circuits, they are identical except for a 0.5 Ohm difference in one resistor. Given the XO circuits are identical otherwise, what makes the peerless and the 194 incomparable if 194's work in place of 2000's? Is it a mounting problem?

    Thanks

Don't go by the schematics. Early Monitors with Peerless tweeters sometimes differ greatly from the schematics. You have to check the actual crossover and see what the Capacitor and Resistor values are, and measure the inductors.

Yes the outside dimensions of the rectangle surrounding the tweeter is different. I do not recall which one is bigger, I think the SL2000 is smaller and the peerless could be used if you use a chisel or router to enlarge the opening on the speaker baffle. That's the general issue. Please wait for others to give you more specific dimensions as to what would be necessary just to make it fit....

OK, got it...Just wondering...The word chisel used in the same post as Polk's makes me very unsettled

    Thanks for the info.

The face plate of both the peerless and SL1000 from what I have seen are both smaller than the SL2000 by about 1/8" maybe just a bit less. But enough to present a problem. I found a blown SL2000 tweeter and measured the depth with calipers and used the face plate itself as a template to trace around then used a router to make the hole bigger. Also the leads that go to the tweeter for peerless/SL1000 are in a different spot so you also need to relieve in that area also to keep from smashing and fit properly.
