Hello,

I've just bought my first home theatre and opening up the instructions to my sub has confused me big time.

I THOUGHT i would connect my Sub using a Monster 300 subwoofer interconnect but Polk recommends i run my front L & Rs through the sub with speaker wire.

SO which is best?

My components are below.

Thanks,

Court.

Receiver - Yamaha RXV 740
Speakers - RM6700s
Sub Woofer - PSW 303

The original idea you had is perfect for your application. Use the MC M300 Interconnect to connect your subwoofer to the AVR.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Make sure to use the LFE connection on the 303 and select the highest xo frequency the Yammy allows (hopefully around 120-150 Hz).

Set the sub level to -5 on the Yammy and adjust the subwoofer volume at the 303.
