Who is going to watch or has interest in the game tomorrow morning? Starts I do believe around 7:30am Saturday.

Like many of you I remember real well the **** kicking we put on the Russians back in 1980. Then beating the Finns for the gold.

How cool would it be to see the Russians get booted from winning a medal in men's hockey. Yeah I understand its early but I am hoping/dreaming.

To see the face on Putin when they lose will be great. Now that I mention Putin............ how tall is that guy? He looks and acts to be around 5'5'' maybe like Napoleon

    I remember well the 1980 team, and rightly so, every hockey team at every level off the sport, looks to them as the "gold-standard" by which they want to be judged. I just wish Herbie was still here to offer his insight.

    I will be watching with interest but won't be cheering,much.(Wrong colour shirts).

    I remember 1980,I was cheering then, big time.Hated that group of red robots on skates.

    WELL WELL WELL What a game and I heard one a hole say this games meant nothing!!!! So why did they play??

    Why was the arena packed with screaming Russians? Then crying Russians? Putin I am he sure was present because it meant nothing.

    Now, I sure hope the USA can go on to win it all of course and the Russians are kept off the podium.

    I had to run errands this morning but made it back in time to watch the full shootout. Since when have you ever been able to have one guy take all of the shots?

    That's how the Olympic hockey rules are set up. I read somewhere about the details but didn't bother to think about it too much and still don't care. Like you said a wins a win and when we beat up the Russians even better!!

    Recorded it, and watched it... I am huge hockey fan and this is great... might be the last time NHL plays in Olympic play...

    I enjoyed the Olympic games more back in the day when our collegiate and amateur athletes competed.

    Too much money involved in the Olympics anymore. Can a family who does not have extra money to spend on TV programing get to enjoy the Olympics? I know the same can be said about my Boston Red Sox and all the others but to me it seems the Olympics should be a right for every American to watch it if they so choose.

    As much as I enjoy watching it, I would agree that it would be better to leave NHL players out of it... The play looks very choppy and the USA basically had no forecheck all game except for a few shifts which is what you would expect fro a team of allstars that flew in and got drunk after a few practices. The D and goaltending is great tho.

    A team of real amateurs might be better to watch, but then the rest of the countries would be sending perhaps better players and we couldn't really compete except for 1960 and 1980...

    I may be wrong but the Olympic should or was all about amateur athletes competing against each other representing their country.

    The Commies add a monkey wrench into the works LOL or something like that!!

    I do not know the international rules on Olympic boxing but there would have been a problem with Mike Tyson representing the USA

    Things sure are looking really nice for the USA hockey team. It's "nice" they make some comparisons to the 1980 team but that's about it as far as I am concerned. Not much in Olympic history can compare to what happened with that event.

    Did you see that performance the Russians put on vs Finland? I did not see it for I was in the hospital :( however I am going to live another day I hope :) and see the US hockey team kick some Canadian ****.

    If you guys would be so kind to give me your thoughts on the USSR vs Finland game that would be great.

    I think I witnessed another miracle on ice today.Hopefully Sid and the boys have a break out game tomorrow and get it done.

    As for the Ruskies,tons of talent up front but they played as individuals,not as a team.Rask was stellar and the Finns played good team D.

    Canada should be in the final, every Olympics. They can claim more than 50% of the NHL players. Its their sport!

    On the same front, now that the pros are in it, the USA should be in every Olympic basketball final, but sadly, they are not.

    Yup that's me!! And if you paid attention you'd see I live in Charlestown RI Your right about NJ though. Where I lived in NJ it was beautiful all year but not as beautiful as it is here.

    That's a tough one that's for sure.

    FTGV have you ever searched for pictures or videos of Camden NJ? If you have not you gotta try it and see how some people live.

    Damn I don't even like to drive down the highway by Camden when I'm on my way to the outer banks or DC. Man that's one tough place.

    OHHHHH GOD and I went to church this morning too!! They played well that's all I have to say about that LOL

    Regardless of this Olympics I really believe they shouldn't allow pro's to compete in the future Olympics.

    How do the Canadians feel about that? I'm Curious
