SDA-2A VS RTA-12b

Peerless ****???? I resemble that remark. I did put the Peerless in the 12's yesterday and I will be honest, it is hard to determine if the Peerless, the Peerless clones or the 194's sound better. I guess the only way to really tell is to have 2 or 3 sets of speakers side by side with different tweeters and be able to switch back and forth. I suppose having the original tweeter in a vintage speaker is part of the mystic.
The Peerless are very nice, but to my ears the 194s are better, and the 198s better still. Neither can replace a Peerless in most of the vintage Polks as you know. Certain 12s being the exceptionHome Theater/2 Channel:

You can replace the Peerless with RDO's in the RTA12's?
The early, original 12 which had all components on top, is strictly Peerless from what I can tell.Home Theater/2 Channel:

You can replace the SLxxx with the RD-0194 in RTA 12C's and I'm sure 12B's since they have the same Xover. I bought my C's new and have always liked the SL1000's they came with. Heresy, I know, but the harshness most complain about isn't there. Maybe I got a good one or perhaps because I rebuilt both Xovers with Sonicaps/Mills. Still, I'll probably replace the SL's with the RD-0 at some point."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

Can't remember which series my 12's are. (they are currently packed away). Mine have a small MDF baffle laminated with vinyl from what I remember. Edges beveled with laminate only on the front and beveled edges. Peerless tweet. If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?!
