PAD 5000.5 Power Drain when off?

I have a PAD 5000.5 connected to the auxilliary battery in my camper van. The batteries are isolated such that if I use the stereo it wont draw on my main (starting battery), but the aux battery will charge when the engine is running. The PAD 5000.5 is triggered "on" by the Alpine head unit.
There seems to be a drain on the aux battery even when the stereo is turned off. So my question is this:
Does the PAD 5000.5 draw current even when "OFF"?

Hello lemon cove,
Welcome to Polk's forum. I'll pose this question to Polk's C D department for you. In the meantime, do you happen to have a Volt-Ohm meter?
Regards, Ken -

Thanks. Yes, I do have a multi meter. -
So, I'm not sure you answered my question, but you implied an answer . . . . by telling me to look at the head unit, are you saying that the amp DOES NOT draw power when off?
The head unit gets its constant power from the main "start" battery, the amp from the aux "house" battery . . . . so head unit shouldn't create a draw to aux battery when on standby. I'll play with the multi meter, but wanted to know what I should expect the amp to do . . . . someone told me in a forum that the amps draw current even when "off." Wanted to verify.I would recommend looking at the head unit. If you have connected the 12 constant wire for the memory to an unswitched circuit, then this will be a constant drain on the battery. You can also try disconnecting the remote turn on trigger wire on the amplifier. -
There should be a blue wire(MIGHT be blue with a white trace-can't remember, if this wire is ALSO present it's for a power antenna) on the back of the deck's harness. This is your remote turn on lead. That should be the 12Vdc trigger wire. IF the trigger is hooked up to ANYTHING but either of these(and it should be the solid blue one only) the amp will most likely stay on. I'd also suggest trying what Kim had stated-disconnect the remote trigger and monitor voltage drop.Monitor 12's-RDO's and XO's done!

Thanks Kim & Phish-
Sorry . . . been away from home for awhile.
The Alpine has a blue (power antenna) and blue/white (remote amp) lead. Only the blue/white is connected (to the PA5000.5).
Now that I'm back home, I can do the multimeter measurements.
I'm also getting a load test on my aux/house battery to eliminate that as a problem.
