I know you are joking with the Partridge Family, but ABBA is actually quite good. I have all their albums and listen to them from time to time, along with the BeeGees and Chicago.

For me, Beatles will always be number one - and by a HUGE margin. Others in my top - Queen, Zepplin, Journey, The Who, ELO, and The Guess Who.

Richie did not like blind man, and for that reason, it was not released as a single, i believe it could have been a big hit.

His solo just sorta drips out of his guitar.

I don't think of The Beatles as pop artists. Like Buddy Holly to me wasn't a pop artist.
Just the rock artist of their day. Rock n Roll changes evolves and the Beatles did too.
How could anyone call Sgt. Peppers a pop album ??

The Beatles - What they accomplished in such a short time will never be duplicated
The Doors - Had Rock n Roll's first front man, dared to be totally different
Led Zeppelin - Just flat out rocked
The Who - If you saw them live you understand
The Stones - It's the Stones, c'mon man

    Yeah I was kidding. lol

There are so many good bands that its hard for me to narrow them down. I mean....Pink Floyd to Rush to Queensryche to Stevie Ray Vaughn to Dave Gruisin to Donald Fagen and many more. I love it all.

The Beatles, and for 1 simple reason: MATH. Their last release(2009 re-masters) generated over $4,000,000,000 in revenue!!!
And that was 40 years AFTER the band broke up, and 2 of the members were dead.
Ain't NO-ONE getting close to that figure, EVER!
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

I voted Deep Purple, my favorite band. But there is no doubt that the Beatles had a larger influence than any other band in history.

And I love Led Zeppelin, but I've always thought they were a bit over-rated. To me they always sounded very sloppy live, but the studio albums were great.

I voted for the Beatles, because they ARE the greatest rock band ever.

Top 5 is very tough, but I will go with:

    2) YES
    3) Led Zeppelin
    4) Jimi Hendrix
    5) Pink Floyd

Damn, that's rough! So many great bands/artists left out!

The greatest ROCK 'N' ROLL band in the world is The Rolling Stones. They personify everything that rock and roll ever meant.

Second place: The Who - if you saw them live back in the day...yeah. If not, listen to Live at Leeds.

Allright Jesse, you and I are gonna have to have words about this one! The Beatles rule over The Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones even tried to "become" The Beatles on "Their Satanic Majesties Request" which is why they created their best album with that one!

OK, OK, I am partly joking and partly serious. More serious I think, though.:lol:
