Anyone compared Pioneer Elite DV-59 and DV-79 as SACD Players

Looking to see if anyone has heard both and has any opinion which one might sound better than the other from a SACD perspective.

    Haven't heard both, but I do have the 59 and it sounded awesome when I spun some SACD's. The 79 I gathered was suppose to kick it up a notch but I haven't read any reviews from owners stating a big jump in SQ.

    I owned both and they performed exactly the same. They both are awesome well built players. SACD I believe was all done by Sony back then and both player used the same exact decoders. Burr Brown If I remember correctly was the Internal DAC's.

    Can't go wrong either way man. I started with the DV-47 and that was awesome but when I got the DV-59avi I felt it was a better sounding player even though it was also supposed to have the same decoder in it in a Sony model.

    Mantis you confirmed what I was hearing.

    I have both now, 59 in office rig I just picked up for $75 and the 79 gets moved to main rig this weekend.
