Guys I'm still looking for those little inexpensive mods that can enhance the sound of my 2Bs. I have heard a lot of sikes and now need to know are they worth it .I have Oak wood floors and wouls use the protective discs that I see come w/ some sets. I have been looking and some DO NOT come w/ the inserst that you drill to screw the spike into. Would something like this and just looking work for me.Notice these do not have inserts but have the bases.

The size you need are 1/4-20 if your 2B's use the same inserts as my 2.3TL's. Those are M8 (metric), so they won't fit. Nice looking spikes though."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

The 2B's and 1C's didn't come with threaded inserts like the larger SDA's, but you're right that the standard thread size used by Polk is 1/4-20.
Lew, those eBay spikes seem a bit on the small side scale wise to the speakers. There are other inexpensive and larger spikes available that come with the discs and inserts.Political Correctness'.........defined
