Any suggestions would be appreciated. I currently have RTiA7's, C-J PV-10A preamp and Carver TFM-25 amp. This would be my first tube amp. The room is 12' x 16'. Thanks in advance.

My budget is $2500. I mainly listen to jazz. I probably prefer more of a warmer sound, if that makes sense.

Agreed! You'd be better to use that money to upgrade the speakers first

The M120 is a heat plant. It's nowhere near the design that the 150 or 180 is. Question: what is the rest of your system, from wall socket to speakers? $2500 on an amp to power some RTiA7's seems on the high end. No offense to Polk, but that amp will outclass the speaker IMO.

+1000 here. You will not realize the benefit of amps in that class with those speakers. Not that they are bad, just tuned more so for HT than music.

My .02, sell the CJ pre amp and the RTIA 7'S. Use that coin to upgrade speakers. Take the 2500 you have set aside and get a Musical Fidelity integrated, which will take care of the pre and power amp together and offer up some good SQ.
    HT SYSTEM-
    Sony 850c 4k
    Pioneer elite vhx 21
    Sony 4k BRP
    SVS SB-2000
    Polk Sig. 20's
    Polk FX500 surrounds

    Cables-
    Acoustic zen Satori speaker cables
    Acoustic zen Matrix 2 IC's
    Wireworld eclipse 7 ic's
    Audio metallurgy ga-o digital cable

    Kitchen

    Sonos zp90
    Grant Fidelity tube dac

Maybe I should think about upgrading speakers first. Then power amp. Thanks for the input.
