    Hello,
I believe you would be fine using the two amplifiers. The unusual nature of how ARC designs their output taps means that instead of making the negative speaker connection to the "0" taps, on the two amps, you would make your negative speaker connections to the "4" ohm taps. This is the ground tap, meaning that it is connected to the circuit's ground point. In order to give the SDA speakers a left and right common ground reference point to produce the most SDA information your left and right "4" taps should have a wire connecting them together.
Now for the positive speaker connections you'll have to do a little bit of experimenting. Try making the left and right positive speaker connections to the "8" terminals and listen to some recordings that you're familiar with. Then make the positive connections to the "16" taps listening to the same recordings and see which connection seems to have the better balance in terms of bass definition.
Be sure and turn off the two amplifiers when making the switch and give it a few minutes before switching the amps back on to prevent any stress on switching the power supplies on and off.
I hope this is helpful information.
    Enjoy, Ken

You can this transformer from Avel-Lindberg part number Y236906. Check with Toolfan66 (a member here) for an aluminum box to mount this in, it's referred to as a Dreadnaught interface around here. Good luck.

I cannot find that transformer or the cable already assembled for sale anywhere. Am I just looking in all the wrong places?

I am getting the picture here. Once that transformer is built, what am I connecting the negative and positive too on each side of the transformer?

If you read the threads on the Dreadnaught you will see how it is wired. It goes in the middle of the interconnect cable between the two speakers.
