Chad,
I lost your PM and e-mail address in my in-box because of the polk hardware upgrade. I know your name here is wrxy or something like that but couldn't find it. All has disappeared.

I received payment for the Center last night. I was going to send out today but decided to wait until Monday morning. That way it won't have to sit in below freezing temps in a truck over the weekend. I hope that is ok with you. I will send out first thing monday morning!

    Freezing??Where you at?Today it was around 75 degrees out here in Cali.Went for a nice motorcycle ride today down by the beach!:p Lol

    AH, 18 degrees is cold. It was 18 degrees a couple nights ago. We have 3 inches of ice on our driveway. You can literally skate with shoes!

    But we havn't had school all week. All this snow! Pose to ice again Monday!

    BTW --- Another above 30 degrees isn't to cold (to me). But it when it gets in the 20's and so on. It is cold. However in Canada is was what -18????

    Just back from Atlantic City..Sarah Brightman concert. Will Pm the shipping address. After the SVS PB2-ISD sat over nite at 10 degrees in a frieght truck it gave new meaning to the word "ice box" ;)

    The center will go go out monday morning. I like to keep things from freezing. The more they go through the less you can rely on them being perfect. No need to push the extremes. Thanks for the quick payment!

    Humm only the right driver works! Left mid and tweeter dead on
    delivery. Not freaking yet, but hope there is no hassles on getting a refund.

    Hold on there big fella!
    Don't be to quick to condemn the speaker. The LsiC uses a cascading crossover, you won't hear the same volume level from both drivers. Turn up the volume a little and get your ear close to the driver you think is not working. I bet it's doing exactly what it's designed to do.

    BTW, Don't be shy about popping the drivers out (just be careful) and make sure all of the connections are good. Wires do come off from time to time.

    Yepp, I sold as CS400 to a guy a long time ago and he had the same problem.Its that difrayed sound technology that POLK uses.It actually works good too.I tried explaning it to the guy and he thought I was smokin something.....So instead of risking negative feedback I sent him money to buy a new MID driver.If the center sounds good from the couch then its working correctly.If the sound is muttered then you might have a problem indeed.These Centers are not supposed to be listened to like RAVER"S at a Rave club.I hope you get it worked out and I'm betting the farm that its ok.:)

    Understand the cascading crossover...but no output from the tweeter. I will wait to see if Madmax clears pulling the drivers and give a wire check. Thanks for the input guys.

    Don't worry Chad,
    If something has happened to it you will be paid in FULL.

    Check the things I mentioned in my PM. I sent you two. The second one was after I gave it a little more thought. Check that out first. Man, I'm freaking already. Check it out though and whatever happens I will be fair with you. I did insure it because I wanted to make sure we were both covered. I'm FREAKING OUT here. Let me know what you find.     Pulled the drivers, Mids a bit beefer than I thought . Ok all drivers connected. Pulled the crossover and it was broken off the back plate. UPS- hike one, hike two.

    Madmax is quick with replys and gave me a phone to call him.
    Working out what to do.

    Whatever you decide is fine with me. If it were me I would probably see if it were something I could fix myself becaust the price was really a good deal. If not though I'll follow through with whatever you decide. Whether UPS pays me or not I'll be happy to refund your money. Worst case they wouldn't pay, you ship it back, I fix it and end up with a good center. Whatever the case I'll take care of you. I hope if you decide you don't want it that you will help me follow through with ups. However it works out I'm more than happy to make it right with you.

    Polk will send you a crossover free.

    Even if it is used, no warranty. The reason why is *you* can't break a crossover unless you sledge it. Know what I mean?

    A crossover broke in my RT35i and they shipped me one free. No hassle! Call em up!

    I can see they might but don't make any decisions based on it until THEY say they will. This center is an authorized version (with a real polk audio S/N in case that is a quesion) so it is a definite possibility.

    A crossover component had come lose on my EBay purchased RT35i. 2 years after purchase. At first I thought it was a blown tweeter. It was not, so I informed Ken it was indeed a broken free crossover component. He said do not worry and sent it free, 2nd day air. The chances of him helping yall out is very likely.

    I guess it makes sense. It should be covered because it is made to hold up under shipping conditions when shipped in the original box. I'm just saying I won't hold him to someone else making it right. When I buy something I want the seller to make it right and even though I will try to pursue other options I don't like for the seller to push me off on other alternatives. This is definately an option I had not thought of though. Great suggestion! Now, GO TO BED!

    Man that just sucks,
    I hope the center can be repaired.Replacing a crossover isn't bad as long as the cabnet is intact.

    UPS......damn those ****......isn't the first time,surely won't be the last time.......dammn it.

    After a good look at the speaker there was some watermarks on the finish. It was packed in a bag, so it must of meet up with sitting out in the rain. I described the condition of the box to Madmax and both agreed UPS gave it the "Red headed step child" treatment.:mad:

    Madmax it taking the UPS claim and sending a refund to me.

    STILL in need of a LSIC, Crutchfield has it for $499 with a free PSW202 sub [not needed] ANYONE know a better deal?
