After being in a closet at my mothers house for 4 years, my (not stock) Polk SDA SRS 2's are back in the main rig again. I haven't heard them since June 2009 which was about a month before I sold my house in Denton, TX and moved back to Arkansas to go to college at 43 years of age. They are being ran off my recapped Carver CT-7 preamp and Carver M-1.0t MkII amplifier (completely rebuilt amp) and sound better than ever. This is just a quick picture after they were back in place and the Norman Labs being moved off to the side.

Ahhhh...it was a good day.

Absolutely awesome looking set up. A set of those hit CL near me in the $450ish range over the holidays, but the ad was deleted before the seller replied so I guess I was a bit late Was hoping to get an audition just for curiosity. Enjoy them...always nice to have that new feeling all over again.

Yeah, but you have to remember...that was the first picture after a 4.5 year hiatus. :D So here's a pic I took earlier with more lights on. Hope this makes up for the first one! Ha

    Beautiful

Kind of makes me think real hard about bringing mine back into play.

How far from the back wall are they?

When stored, a couple of inches. But when playing for true "listening", I bring them out about 6" or so. But even being a couple of inches out, they sound great and aren't too bass heavy. We have hardwood floors and very little "soft" surfaces which works well with the RD0 tweeters. But they sound great.

Why yes it is. It was a Christmas from my dad about 10 years ago after I'd sold my other guitar.

Very nice setup! Just last week I was looking at a set of the 2's, $300 obo: http://annarbor.craigslist.org/ele/4267363014.html

If I had more room and a little more pocket change I would be building a 2 ch off of those. I never owned the SDA's and I think it would be cool to try them out.....until I start my DIY project.
