oh and my speaker number on the back say its a polk 10 183243-whats the specifics on this speaker?Yamaha V1800 receiver along with a NAD 2600a and 2700a .

If they were mine, I'd opt for some after-market binding posts with a larger diameter collar. Remove the old posts, drill-out and enlarge the holes. This would hopefully get you past any melted or deformed area in the plastic. You don't have to spend a lot either. Cardas or Vampire Binding Posts are high-end, but expensive. If you don't mind buying imported, I can recommend some alternatives that are excellent quality, and won't break the bank.Home Theater/2 Channel:

I doubt they've had mods done given your description, and there are some things you can do that will take them up several levels. What exactly could I do ? I found some info on some people doing the "TL" mod .Yamaha V1800 receiver along with a NAD 2600a and 2700a .

I was considering just replacing the current crossover with same but newer hardware.Yamaha V1800 receiver along with a NAD 2600a and 2700a .
