I went to a Fry's store off Baseline road in Tempe AZ (I think) yesterday, and checked out the LSi15/25/7 setup that they have, powered by an Onkyo receiver. Setup wise, it is actually is not bad at all.

Fry's has really done a good job in trying to move upscale, I guess.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I was checking in to make sure that Bush's visit doesn't disrupt traffic on I-51, but I was wrong...it was horrendous yesterday afternoon around MCC. :)

Seriously, I was working with a colleague, hangin' out Christies ;) and stopped by Fry's checking out notebooks for work. Got back home this late morning, right after all the excitements of watching Air Force One departure...boy, I was bushed (literally)...

Thanks ... One last question here ...

Is there really an advantage to getting the passive as opposed to the powered subs ?

Sure there is good to both side there man.

The Lsi15's are geared more towards 2 channel listening and can be used as mains in a theater or for double duty.

The Lsi25's are geared more for theater fist and music 2nd.The 25's are very good at what they do but in my opnion or preference I perfer the passive 15's and an external subwoofer.

The 25's can be used without a sub in a nice size theater room.Thats totally up to you which way you wanna go.It's the better choice to listen to the 2 and see /hear which pair you like better....

    Polkatese,
I just spoke to a Mike Bowers at the Tempe store. I read here that some folks have picked up 150's for $599 from Fry's. Since I have a brother in Chandler (I live in GA), I thought he could get them to ship me a pair. Mike said that the black 150's were marked down to $149 each, but he did not have any left. He gave me several CA store numbers (Burbank, Fremont, San Jose are some) that supposedly have these in boxes. The Tempe store has cherry units at $749/pair. However, just thought I'd bring this up for those that are looking for an exceptional deal. The black 150's at Fry's are essentially being given away for nothing.
    Regards,
    aba

Traffic on the 51 is a **** regardless, let alone when Dubbya picked rush hour to start mashin around town. I was on the 10 when I saw the motorcade passin on the other side. I've never seen so many cops in my life, and for at least just one moment, I was happy that none of them were lookin for me........ :D
