Using an Oppo 93 thru an older Yamaha receiver. Everything hooked up using rca cables in multi channel. Recently I have noticed that from time to time the vocals sound as though they are in a church. Some sort of mild reverb or echo is the best I can describe it. It will only last for a short time but seems to be happening more frequently. Any ideas?

This might sound strange but, for me, if by accident i leave the tv volume up, i have that same issue. Is the tv volume off?

I know what you are talking about and it sort of does sound like that but it comes and goes. The TV audio is muted.

This might sound wacky but 1 thing about my Yamaha I don't like are the settings for music. Just possibly you hit the music button and went into a different sound scenario like Vienna Hall, ,Roxy Theater,Hall in Munich, Chamber all music audio sources that what it does as far as I'm concerned is add echo and delay and is a waste of time. Also the same thing applies for movie sources w/ adventure, sci-fi,spectacle and standard doing basically the same thing.I would check your setting on your remote and go back to just 5.1 or on the rx-v665 7.1.

Well ernie, you sort of got it. My TV was muted...or so I thought. Apparently my Harmony remote would sometimes leave TV muted and other times when I used the single button to watch a movie it would turn on the TV speakers. I guess I need to reprogram the remote. I'm glad it is something as simple as this, I usually don't get this lucky!
