    Thanks H, received today in excellent shape.

    Stuck 'em right in and spun MFSL "Blues Summit Meeting" and Blue Note 180g reissued Donald Byrd "Chant". Horns are throaty and nicely textured. Vocals seem a bit more present, and keys are maybe a bit rounder/smoother and three-dimensional than with the 5965's. Outstanding tubes! In fact, I'd say these are definitely my favorites in this setup, and if you have any others, I would REALLY love to get a backup pair (wink-wink nudge-nudge).

    The early D getters are the ones to get, they sound nice! I do have another pair of 1958 Bugle Boys w/ Treble Cleft logo which is a specially selected, low noise tube. I'll be hanging onto those as they are harder and harder to find these days.
