Hi,
I am wanting to upgrade my HT system with a better bass. I am using a psw350 with my RT800i, CS400i and FX500i system. My room is large 20*12*8 with a open stairs next to the system that takes you up half a flight to the next level of the house. That makes the ceiling at that point, 14 or so feet tall. Which would you recommend for this settup? I am looking at the 12" PSW505 and the PSW650. Both are available in my area eventhough the PSW650 is now being discontinued.
Help!!
What do you like/recommend and why.
Thanks in advance to everyone on the forum, Polk employees included. You are all great.

From my older post:
"I think the 505 is better.
I just recently asked a similar question regarding 505 vs. 650, and doc had this to say "The 505 is latest generation - more power, better driver, slot loaded."
505 freq. response is 23-160hz
650 freq. response is 25-180hz
505 amp is 300watt continuous (460 peak)
650 amp is 165watt continuous (250 peak)"

Thanks for the information but it still seems like the PSW650 is the top sub for Polk and is being replaced by a LSWi (model number may not be correct) that is a 2*10 for the lsi series. Looking for more commets.
Thanks. -
The PSW-650 is an *average* performer.....
Hits about 105-106db on AVERAGE** and not a lick below 28...
It's not the most accurate bucket in the fish camp either- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
