Congratulations Larry! Trying new amps is a great way to celebrate the new year!!

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Thanks Mike, I'm hoping they will be here Friday. This is the biggest overhaul, my rig has seen in a couple of years, it took a back seat to my car..

I'm redoing my crossover's, and internal wiring at the beginning of the year as well, I'm also on the hunt for another pre-amp, then I'm sure I will be done for a couple more years..

Well I have had these for a few days, but have not hook them up, as I have left my rig torn down till my new Pre-Amp gets here Tuesday.

Well it being Sunday, and I'm just watching football, I thought what the hell let's hook them up, and see what's up, so I just threw it together, nothing nice, just enough to play..

So far I'm very happy, nice lower end, and no fatigue at higher volumes, but the biggest thing I noticed is the nice deep lower end, much better then the Adcom 5802..

I haven't done any real critical listening, as I will wait till my new Pre gets here..

Congrats on the SX's. I have been looking for a mc402 but none really available. I have been doing a lot of reading on the SX and they have my attention. Please let me know how you like them on your system. I too will be upgrading my system this year. New amps, cables the works!.

    Thanks

They are the best amps I have owned to date, I was afraid I would miss my Adcom gear, guess what? I don't...

My W4S amps will be here till I can pull the trigger on a Pass Labs amp, I have been wanting one for sometime now, and I want my next upgrade to be a big one, so I'm saving for it..

Saving for Pass?? Sounds familiar. Have you checked out the new .8 line of amps yet?

Thx. Toolfan66 for the pm. I was looking for a Mcintosh mc402 but not many around and read some good info on the W4S sx's. Once my dreadnaught is done I will most likely try out their mono blocks.

p.s. Looking for a aluminum box for the dreadnaught. Have binding post and transformer already.
