Thanks!!
I have read a couple of reviews, and they said the PC can make or break them so to speak.. I will have to use my AC-9SE's for now.. -

I gave you the chance to sell me the ones you have.. I have had my ears on them, I'm quite sure I will be very happy with them, if I could afford Pass Labs right now, that's what I would be getting..
I have been wanting the W4S for over a year now, and they fit my budget right now.. -

The Aurora cables didn't change the sound so much, it did make the soundstage taller though.
Are you still using the W4S pre? Or are you using a tube pre? -

I've been switching back and forth between the STP-SE and a custom Dodd 6H30 fully balanced pre.
What changes your preference? Speaker type?
Here the SX-1000's do great with the Krell KSL pre which is warmer sounding than the KRC-HR I stuck in last night. The HR does better with a Class A amp. The HR didn't mate well with the Sanders A/B amp either.
I'll have my last amp to try here in early Jan, weather permitting.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -
Congrats Larry! I thought about getting the stereo version for a while, but could never find someone who would let me have a listen. Most reviews I've read are highly complementary- looking forward to your listening impressions."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

That could be a factor, but usually just wanting to try something a little different again.
The Revel F52's have aluminum dome tweets and I didn't care for my Sanders amp on them. Maybe with a tube pre it would have worked... The Sanders sounded great with the Raal tweet with warm jfet SS pre.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -

This has absolutely nothing to do with a single product or a product line. It's about the context of the thread started by the OP. Tool posted that he just ordered a pair on W4S amps...he's excited as all get out. We've all been there & experienced the excitement of ordering new gear & the torture we all go thru waiting for the delivery truck to pull up. Now is the time that congrats & enjoy are in order.
