I've been offered some Polk speakers for my Klipsch KSP-400 pair.
Rt 1000 towers (not sure if they come in with powered sub or if all do come?)
Sub is a 10" powered sub
Rears are f/x 300 I
Center is cs 400 I

KSP-400 were TOTL with $3500 retail for the pair.
They have 15" powered subwoofer in each tower.

What do you think? Go or no go?
thanks

Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

Doesn't really sound like a fair trade IMO. I love my Polk system but those Klipsch speakers seem like they would be pretty amazing from what I'm reading online. The 1000's are pretty good and the CS400i is a great center but I can't imagine them coming close to a $3,500 pair of top of the line Klipschs. The 1000's do have powered 6.5" subs but they don't do much. In fact, I've found the speakers perform their best with the subs turned off. And the FX300i's are mediocre at best. I'd say pass.

No way , I've installed that very system and owned the polk system close to what you are being offered. I'd keep the Klisch system unless you want to do it for the sheer hell of it and a complete change. The Polk system will not be as explosive or as accurate as the Klipsch system is. The bass will not even be close.

    Okay then.
    Passed.
I really like the KSP-400 but they are too deep (around 23") and come too far out in my living room so thinking of selling/trading and probably getting something along the lines of Klipsch Reference towers that are not as deep.
    Thanks
