In looking at the specs does anyone see any real problem with replacing 6501s or 6500s with 6503s?? thanks

The VAS is over 10% higher on the 6503, but the real problem is the DCR on the 6501s, 7.75ohms. Impedance is obviously different than DCR, but your crossover point is going to change. 6501s do pop up on eBay.Home Theater/2 Channel:

I have some MW6501's I'd be willing to part with (three I think, if I can find them in storage). I have replaced MW6500's before with MW6503's, and for temporary use at least it seemed to work fine. I couldn't speak to a direct comparison since the MW6500's were shot, but the speakers sounded reasonably good to my ear with the 6503's in place of the 6500's. Feel free to PM if you're interested in the 6501's.
