Determining good prices?

I am looking to clean out some of the speakers that I have and am looking to see what would be considered a fair price. I am curious where else to compare prices other than ebay, Craigslist, and audiogon. Where else can I look to make sure that I put a good price on them.

Thanks.

Those are probably your best sources. It's best to find out what they actually sold for vs what the person is/was asking. eBay lets you see past selling prices. Just keep in mind, anything you sell is only worth what someone is willing to pay on a given day.

Hey Packet I am not sure what you are asking for. As far as I know there is not a book that tracks used speaker prices like baseball cards lol. eBay is pretty much your best bet, I don't know if I would pay for the audiogon sub. since not too may Polks are sold there, and of course a search in the forum wouldn't hurt. I think the main thing to remember is that unfortunately MOST speakers tank in value compared to MSRP. I mean look at wha t the old LSis are going for these days, pretty crazy. Best of luck.

Hifi Shark will show what items listed for. Select country, check sold and enter item name ex. Polk SDA. Most listings are Craigs list but this will at least be a starting reference.

Thanks for all the advice. I am looking to part ways with a pair of RTiA5's, A3's, CSiA4, and a CSiA6. this should give me a good starting point.

Yup. Also keep in mind if you end up listing on a website to factor in what you want profit wise out of the speakers. Then adjust for PayPal fee's, eBay fee's, etc.

So you may list the same item 100 bucks cheaper on CL because you dont have to deal with shipping and fee's, etc.

You can check this very site to see what others have sold those for.

My advice is to go to Polk's EBAY site above and see what they sell refurbs for and price below that, how much below is your call. See what people think, or where they bite?
