Found a set of 5a's in their original boxes with Peerless tweeters. They are in incredible shape. Need a little cleaning but other than that thy seem great. Did not know they had Peerless when I contacted the seller and was mildly surprised when I saw them. Sound great.

Not trying to be. Wll maybe alittle. I had no idea they were Peerless until I got there and looked at them. I thought they were later model with sl2000 or 2500. Gave $50 for them.

Yeah. It always helps to carry a 9mm when speaker shopping!! Actually I was going to pay more for them but he set the price. -
Very nice pricing there! You'll enjoy those. I run a set, among other speakers, in my home office! A great speaker to chill out to after a hard day.
What's the deal with all the "attachments" in so many threads that can't be viewed without a link? Is there something wrong with the UPLOAD for this site?

Right now I have hooked to a mint Yamaha CR-2020 I picked up over the summer. That was another great deal from the original owner. His wife posted it on CL and I don't think he really wanted to sell it, but when I showed up at his door with some cash he reluctantly packed it back into the original box and took the money.

Welcome to Club Polk. That's a NICE combo too! Those old HK receivers have a nice warm sound!
Great vintage system for a very LOW price!
It goes without saying that a TOTL vintage Yamaha CR would sound GREAT with some Polk Monitors, Faustin!

That 2020 sure looks SWEET & tons of power for those 5a's to preform nicely too. Everyone that hears the 5's at my house are very surprised at what they can put out for a small speaker..
-
I am quite impressed at what the 5's put out. Right now I have them and my 10a's hooked up to the 2020 in my office so I can switch back and forth between them. Makes doing paperwork and computer work tolerable.

Attachment not found.I was surprised the 2216b sounded vnice with the 5a's even being a low powered.but it does it well.i have my cr2040 hooked to 10a's & it does a fantastic job even with the SL1000's in them. Very pleasant to my ears..
