I'm glad I no longer live in Palo Alto, or I would almost certainly try to buy these beauties!

Like I need another pair of SDA SRSs! :-)

On second thought, everybody could benefit from two pairs!

I hope a Club Polk member gets them so that they get in good hands, and then Vr3 can do the upgrades.
Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers. Power source for all components: Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One with dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel.

Exercise Room, Innuos Streamer via Cat 6 cable connection to PS Audio PerfectWave MkII DAC w/Bridge II, AQ King Cobra RCAs to Perreaux PMF3150 amp (fully restored and upgraded by Jeffrey Jackson, Precision Audio Labs), Supra Rondo 4x2.5 Speaker Cables to SDA 1Cs (Vr3 Mods Xovers and other mods.), Dreadnaught with Supra Rondo 4x2.5 interconnect cables by Vr3 Mods. The condition does look good, but they might close for a bit higher price than some of us would want to pay.

They are 1.2's because the positive binding post is on the left whereas it should be on the right if they were the original SRS's. There is also a photograph of an addendum the original owner was given referring to upgrading to TL as it mentions MW6503 and MW6511's.

I'm waiting to hear back from the seller asking them if the interconnect socket is pin/blade. If it is, there is no doubt that they are 1.2's and can be upgraded to 1.2TL's with the appropriate modifications. (Polk Audio never manufactured an original SDA SRS with a pin/blade socket).

Good to see that the owner ignored the label on the back of the speaker and put the positive binding post nuts on the left thereby avoiding listening to them out of phase. Perhaps the addendum letter stated that he should do that although I'm not sure what the letter said because the resolution of the photograph in the ebay ad is not very good. I can barely make out MW6511 and 6503.

His ad states that they are 1.2 TL's, however, that is incorrect because they still have the SL2000's tweeters in them. At present they are 1.2's which can be converted to TL's by making changes to the crossovers and installing RD-0198's or SL3000 tweeters.

They are indeed 1.2's as the seller said that it has a pin/blade IC socket.
