Suddenly, I am not getting any sound from my SUB. Only sound from satellites. The green power LED is illuminated in the back and I checked all cable connections to Receiver. All OK.
Any suggestions what might be causing this.

Thanks George

    Hello George,
Thanks for contacting us. Here's a fool proof way to test to see if the sub-woofer is the cause:
1). turn the volume all of the way down on the sub-woofer and remove all of the connecting cables/wires except the AC power cord.
2). find the right and left RCA cables that go from your DVD player to the receiver and remove them at the back of the receiver.
3). bring the DVD player over to the sub-woofer and provide AC power for the DVD player, then connect the right and left RCA cables from the DVD player to the corresponding right and left inputs on the sub-woofer.
4). begin playing any CD (not a DVD, but a CD) and turn the volume up slightly on the sub-woofer. There should be plenty of clean sounding bass with no bad noises. Let the CD play completely through and try stopping and starting the player.
    Let me know the results.
    Regards, Ken, Polk

    Ken,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I still get no sound at all. The only sound I can get from the SUB is the typical clicking sound when the unit turns on, or receives a signal (I think?).

    Hello George,
The probable cause might be the woofer. To test this you can remove the woofer from the cabinet (usually 6 or so screws come out) and disconnect the two wires from the woofer's terminals. Turn the woofer upside down on some carpet and at a very moderate volume, try playing the woofer directly powered by your receiver. You will connect the positive/negative speaker wires, of your receiver, to the positive/negative terminals on the woofer. Remember to use a reduced playing volume and see if it produces undistorted sound. If the woofer is not functioning, note the part number on the back of the woofer's magnet, MW8002, for example. Once you have this information telephone us at 1-800-377-7655 and we can help.
    Regards, Ken
