B&K vs Denon amps
I'm starting to think I might want to clear up some space in my movie room. Currently I have 4 Denon mono amps and a 6 channel which do a good job but they take up a lot of room. I'm seriously looking at the B&K 200.7 amp which has 200 wattsx7. This would be used with my Ref 50. Fortunately the prices on Ebay for the Denon's would let me dump what I've got and move over to the B&K for not much $. Thoughts?

Works here just fine but your right.....
Anyhooo...
B&K ref200.7 is a killer amp.Buy it and forget about the Denons. The Denon monos are nice but alittle on the boring side if you ask me.I listened to them in the past and found a very nice warm but non dynamic quality about them..could have been the rest of the system(Krell preamp running Martin Logan).
Fuuny as I'm considering upgrading my B&K avr 307 to the ref 50 and 200.7 myself(other thoughts are the Ref 200.5 alkong with the Ref 200.2).

I've been looking around today and it seems about $2300 is the best you can do on a 200.7 on audiogon. Not cheap! I'm glad I stepped up to the Ref 50 though. As I said in a previous post I had been using my Denon 1802 as a preamp for the front 3 channels. It worked for me for awhile but then the upgrade bug hit. The Ref 50 brought out details I didn't even know were on soundtracks. Unfortunately while at Tweeter I also listened to the Martin Logans and am fighting the urge to swap speakers. The Cinima I center speaker really impressed me, but it ought to for $2500.SDS-400, SDA-1B, SVS 20-39pc+, B&K Ref 50, Denon 2900
