I have it and I think it's a good album too! I had to take it out of my truck because I was playing the stereo too loud and causing myself some hearing pain.

I have alot of people give me flack for liking Nickelback and they say that Nickelback is "mainstream metal" (whatever that is) or a "sellout band" or that they suck. I don't see any of that so naturally I disagree.

The thing I have noticed about all the Nickelback albums that keeps me buying the new ones is thier level of recording quality. Every track on every album is extremely well mastered. The tracks are clean and crisp and very powerful without being overly pumped up. If you want an example of what I am talking about, try listening to Red Hot Chilli Peppers album Californication. It seems like the recording was overly boosted and consequently, can show signal clipping which causes the amp to clip when you turn the volume up. I have not seen that problem with teh Nickelback CDs.

I've been using Silver Side Up as a test CD for a little while now because the first 5 tracks are strong and powerful. They can test the dynamic range of a setup well and really push an amplifier and/or speakers without giving them a dirty signal to work with.
