Sorry, but that is Freakin Hilarious. You'll just have to live with it for a month.

You could opt for some B&W 802d's as well. Magnepans also don't allow for room to sit anything on top of them.

Unless Santa's butt has double face tape on it, I'd laugh it off. My Ex was forever putting Chatchkas on my speakers. Be happy they're not plants.

I guess I have a different take: as long as whatever she puts on them doesn't get them wet or cause scratches, I don't get worried. I find I enjoy my system alot more if I'm not too obsessive about it. Easier to get lost in and enjoy the music.

Did she also move the speakers back behind the front of the table? Move them forward to help with sound stage - the table is interferring with it..

Well, at least it wasn't a potted plant or candle. LOL My wife and I worked this one out before proposal to place. Nothing goes on top of my speakers but dust. Anyone who has bought equipment from me knows I'm anal about keeping it minty fresh. I once sold a pair of speakers because a small scratch was discovered---true story.

My SVS moves around a bit on the hardwood floor. That tree wouldn't stay up there.
I did have a cat that would sit up on it during movies. I have no idea why.

You guys were too kind this year. I usually post these pics and share Polkie responses with my wife to show how fanatical OTHER Polkies are about their equipment - and demonstrate that I am only moderately obsessed with audio.

BTW - I do get obsessed about speakers and would freak out if they were to get scratched. The little Santas are made of soft cloth and I tolerate them.

    Happy Holidays!

I was the one who moved them back. I played with positioning and they sound better to me closer to the back wall. When I moved them forward I could differentiate left and right speaker output, they disappeared when I moved them back and I get a wider soundstage.
