No Sound when using Polk Audio Soundbar 3000 (only through antenna setup)

Here is the trouble I am having.

I have a Panasonic Plasma connected to a Polk Audio Soundbar 3000 via the digital Optical Cable
I have the TV channels coming in from a antenna setup using the Mohu Leaf Antenna.

If I use the TV speakers sound works ok using the Mohu Leaf Antenna, if I turn them off to use the soundbar nothing comes through?

If I use the TV with the WD-Live Plus (connected via HDMI) or DvD Player (connected via RCA) using the Polk Audio Soundbar 3000 sound works with zero issues.

Am I missing a piece of equipment to get sound via into the polk soundbar through the antenna?

Yes but it only works if using the WD-TV live box or the DVD player, if only watching TV channels through the antenna (over the air channels) the sound doesn't work on the soundbar.

Hello,
You might want to check with Panasonic to see if the TV sends a digital signal from its digital audio out when using the internal TV tuner. The SB doesn't know what the signal source coming into it is, as long as it receives a digital signal it will produce sound. It may be a configuration setting for the TV. Or, you might need to provide an analogue input to the SB and change inputs when you go to the TV's built in tuner.
