Polk Monitor 10 series 2

Hi does anyone know what drivers are used in Polk Monitor 10 series 2 ,what would be a fair price,and how do they sound? There are some for sale nearby that I might pick up to use as is or for spare parts for some of my SDA speakers if the drivers are the same. Thanks Don

you'll find what you need here(link below) other than that you'll need to look as many things changed on the fly at Polk audio back in the day.

Should be MW6503s, which were used in many 4th and 5th generation SDAs for the "Stereo" woofers.
Like pitdogg2 says, get your read on, and determine what drivers were supposed to be in your particular SDAs.

I had already looked at that thread but I was not sure which,if any,of the 4 schematics would be a series 2

You will need to open them up and look to be 100% sure. There were 3 versions of M10's maybe 4
let's see
1. peerless tweeter
2.sl1000 tweeter
3. Sl2000 tweeter
4. sl2500/sl3000 maybe tweeter

Monitor 10's started with MW6500 and ended with MW6503

Thanks guys It looks like the mid-woofers probably are 6503's and would be good for spares in my CRS or SRS. Anyone have an idea of their sound or price?

I love my 10's. I have had them sense they were new back in the latte 80's. Plan is to use them in my surround system sense I scored a set of 3.1's this summer.
