I added a new GIFTED Samsung surround system to my wireless Polk 3000 sound bar and bass. Is there ANY WAY to get my POLK COMPONENTS working in unison with the rear speakers and DVD of the Samsung System?? Polk has a MUCH BETTER CENTER and I really don't want to swap it out for cheaper one. Thanks for the help!!!

Seems as if I have lost all of my Previous Wifi/Optic connection and only have sound coming from the newly installed Samsung speakers that have the speaker wires running into the blue ray. I have set systems up both ways before, just not sure if you can have both on two different BRANDS?? Wouldn't think in our modern era should be a concern.

    Hello Heatherh,
To be perfectly honest with you, I believe you would be best to pick one or the other of the two systems and just use it by itself. The Polk is creating a surround effect by giving aural localization clues to your hearing that would be diluted by having sound come from other speakers at the same time.
Try each system independently and pick the one you like best.
    Regards, Ken

Thanks for the input, literally, lol. The main reason for the rear speakers added was the fact that I have 12 ft ceilings, 18ft sliding glass door, so VERY OPEN SOUND WHEN MOVIE PLAYING. I did take down bamboo blinds and install some room darkening curtains which believe it or not seems to help some. Is there any way to install rear channel just for movie time?? Or bad idea??

    Thanks again,heather

You're welcome. What is the model number of the Samsung?
