This is my second sale, even though I don't think I ever got 'credit' for the sale of my 2B's.
I have a genuine pair (verified by AQ staff - as posted is the forum some time ago) of Audioquest Sky XLR Gen 1 but with the upgraded 72v DBS packs (2 36v round packs). The length is NOT a misprint - total length is 12" (1ft), and length between the connectors is 7". I used these for years with my pre sitting directly above my amp with no problem. If you have these components sitting some distance apart, they will not work. Please measure and make sure they will work for you before you decide to purchase. She decorated our new 'music' room and with the cabinet she picked out these no longer work for me. I'm not complaining as that meant I had to buy a 0.5m pair for a replacement ); The cheapest I have seen the 0.5m Gen1 Sky's is around $1200 (I've seen them for over $2k - wow). I paid $1000 for these and I'm just trying to get a fair price , so I'm listing here for Polkies at $750.

SDA SRS modded: X’ovrd, de-polyed, inductorized, interconnectorized, re-posted, dynamited, RDO’d, spiked, gasketed, ringed (Larry's), and grill cloth blinged! Done this on my own? Not a chance. Thanks to Raife and all who forged easy to follow upgrades. At least a 100% improvement in sound and my personal listening pleasure! :cheesygrin:Pass XP-10 preamp, Parasound A21 amp, Pioneer Elite DV-58AV (Ric Shultz modded), Audioquest Sky IC's, No longer need my Sunfire sub after mods...

Where did you get them ? Audioquest doesn't sell cables by the foot , meters man.
Sky's are the ultimate in IC's , they are the finest they built at that time. Pure silver is I remember correctly.

Good catch, and after I received them I had doubts that they were 'real' AQ Sky's. The reason for the 1ft cable is that it had been damaged and AQ had repaired them with the length that was good. Even though the sound was excellent compared to my old stock cables, I wanted to make sure I hadn't been taken. I contacted AQ directly and they confirmed that they were genuine. Somewhere I have the emails from the AQ and if Yahoo saves mail that old (2011) I will try to dig them up and post them here.

Ah, Yahoo has a nice mail search feature and here is the email from AQ.
    Doug,

They look perfectly OK to us. You have real cables there.

    Best regards,
