speaker envy

have you ever went to a friend's house or stereo store to listen to some highly reviewed or popular speakers( read expensive) that priced above your speakers only to come back home and get that smile that you did good?
my usher 6381's retailed for $3400 and speakers i have compared them to include $10k merlins, 14k gr research ls9's, salk ht3's,
various b&w's, vienna acoustics, and martin logans and others.while i could clearly hear things the more expensive speaker did better none of them tempted me to change speakers and some of the speakers i listened to didn't even come close.
of course now......usher dancer mini 2's
