I picked mine up today, and am using it now. So far I love it. My other iPad is the first iPad retina, and while it is nice, it just gets to heavy after a while. This thing is like a feather, is easy to read, and seems just as solid as the bigger one. I think I will try this one for a while without getting a cover, and see if that presents any problems.

I'll be picking up an iPad air to replace my iPad retina.

I agree that it can get kind of heavy after a bit but the new air is much lighter than the retina that I have now.

I have a 5s now so I expect the air to run fairly close to that.

I am really liking the mini. It is easy to read, pictures are fine, typing is easy, and it easy to hold. I let it rest between my thumb and last finger, lightly backed with my other fingers, and with little effort. Now I need to hook the other iPad to the stereo and start using iTunes Radio to find new music.

Just wondering how I can hook one up to a TV. Didn't think Apple would put an HDMI on anything they sell.

You would need to buy an extra adapter for HDMI use.

My rMBP has an HDMI port, so they're not anti-HDMI per se. I don't think you could really fit an HDMI port on that iPad, but I could be wrong.

There is a lightning to HDMI adapter that they sell, that would get you what you want. You could also do this wirelessly via an Apple TV, if you happen to have one.

No, but I am having the strangest problem with Safari. When I login into 4 different audio forums, and click remember me, it doesn't. At some point, Safari will crash, and I have to login once again. Also, there is never any entries in the History section. The regular iPad doesn't have these issues, and I do not see any configuration differences. I switched to Chrome on the mini to fix this problem.
