Just got my sound bar the remote will not work at all. I tried to learn my TV remote however none of the touch sensors the bar for learn, mute or volume control work. I tried holding my finger on them, tapping them, pushing in and nothing. What ever happen to buttons, I have a steady green light and bar and sub play however I have no control over volume, mute or learn so its useless. Any advice or help? There is only 2 buttons under the sound bar a sync button and power on/power off. This stinks.

The remote yes brand new. The bar is hard wires power is on, bar plays but zero control from remote and zero control from anything on the face of the bar. On the bar it has learn, mute and volume signs but to the touch tap or placing finger on them, they do nothing.

Just because you bought it brand new doesn't mean the batteries aren't dead. Do yourself a favor and put in new batteries and see what happens.

Unplug the unit and let sit for about 10 minutes and re-plug back in. Make sure the batteries are good and all plastic covering the remote and receiver on the soundbar is removed.

    Hello,
Did you teach the SB any other remote commands? Or, are you just trying to operate the SB with the supplied remote?
    Regards, Ken

Ken how can I teach the bar to operate off my other remote if when I put my finger over the learn button and press for 2 seconds or when led blinks orange and NOTHING happens. When I place my finger over the volume button, learn button, mute button, nothing happens. Its like the bar sensors are dead, I have a green light on the bar, the sub is steady green, but I have no learn control, no volume control, from the Polk remote or the sensors on the bar. This is my second bar, same issue. I checked the hook ups 5 times, its hooked up right. It worked once, then just stopped being responsive to any remote nor do the bar sensors work.

    Hello 03SONIC,
I understand. Normally I suggest that owners try placing the unit in the standby mode, the LED is red. Then touch the "learn" button until the LED becomes amber and blinks. This clears any stored memory and lets the Polk remote operate the unit.
However, from your description that doesn't sound possible. I'm afraid there isn't much else to do except contact Polk's CS department and make them aware of the second unit's problems.
I'm certainly sorry this is happening and I can imagine how frustrated you must be, but I know Polk will straighten things out.

So after being sent a new remote, a new sound bar, finally its fixed. They sent me the power box, the Tech from polk said it drops voltage and sets the bar into fail safe mode. So its fixed just thought I would let you guys know if you have a issue. I didnt think it was the power cord/box but that did the fix. A month to get it fixed, but it works so I am happy.
