4000 IHT Hook-Up probs

I just purchased a new Sanyo 46" DP46812 and the 4000IHT at same time but I don't have an optical audio jack on the TV. I tried the optional hookup suggested in manual but it does not work either. I have hooked Fios box thru HDMI 1 and DVD player thru HDMI2. Any suggestions on the hookup to make sound bar supercede TV speakers?
