Mw6500 vs mw6503 vs mw6510

Hello all. My M-7s with the frozen woofers have been awaiting suitable replacements for some time. I know that the 6503 is the replacement offered at this time from Polk. I have managed to put off purchasing a new set and finally I found an orphan speaker with 2 6510s in it. I put them in and it sounds good. I never heard the 7s before. My questions are, is this a good recipe? Has anyone had experience with this swap? Would it be an upward move to try and find 6500s or the 6503s?

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the specs show they are close but not exact. I have read these specs from Polk before but don't really know what much of it means.

These Polks are up and running. Just counting the number of Polk pairs I have owned. (3) A small bookshelf set, don't know the model, and some much bigger RTA 12s. They were nice. Now these. I have them sitting with a stack. Some Altec Valencias on bottom that need repairing. And some Kenwood LS-890s that I have been using (nobody knows what these are). I plan to do some AB testing with the Polks and Kenwoods. So far I like what I'm hearing. Using a HK Citation II amp.

Lets see, The 6510s have a lower Q, a Higher BL, and a lower compliance. These are the parameters I am having trouble with.

The 6510s will work just find in the older 7/7As. You have Peerless Tweeters?

I put up pictures a while back and they were identified as the older 7s with peerless tweeters. Thanks for the link. I would never found those. I was searching with MW6500 keyword.

next time use "Polk MW" in your search you'll get all that is there....most of the time.

What is the impedence of the MW6500? The list only goes back to the MW6501?
