I'm sure she would be fine with it. Go ahead, tell her I said it would be ok.

If you already have a perfectly good working system, I think she will be mad as hell. I know I would be. If you are single go for it. If not, you have higher priorities/responsibilities that come first.

Is the mortgage/rent up to date and food in the fridge? Then go for it. Hochpt said it was okay and, yeah, free economy shipping.

Seems like an honest seller. Since when are Yamaha's warranties transferable? According to their site, it's original owner only. And since the silver NP-S2000 isn't sold in the US/Canada, it wouldn't have any warranty at all.

    Nice price though.

Well it depends.... If I offset the purchase of this with some significant purchases from Coach, Vera Wang, and Thirty-One might not be an issue at all... however we have the funds for neither...

You don't have a clue about me to call me selfish Cathy.

I put my wife trough ten years of education, bought her a home, paid all the bills, and moved her anywhere she needed to go for her to chase her dreams.

If I needed to move a mountain for her to find a needle in a haystack.... done.

Before you comment so rudely about someone, maybe you should know them.

Sensitive much? That "you" wasn't aimed at you, it was aimed at men in general. You aren't the only one to suggest just ignoring your wife and doing what you want, to ask for forgiveness after the fact. I'm simply stating that most women are not stupid enough to continually fall for that BS, and sooner or later will decide enough is enough.

While you might profess to love your wife and will move heaven and earth for her, when you are online, you send a whole other impression. You are more interested in sounding macho rather than respectful towards women, and you aren't the only one to do so.

I'm simply responding to the impressions that you and others leave when you make your BS macho statements.

I think you answered your own question. If however, the purchase can be offset with the sale of existing equipment, at fair market value (not what you think they're worth to bolster your argument), and combined with say a Birthday or Christmas present from your wife, it could be possible.
I can tell you from experience, doing penance after the fact is a living hell, and not something I recommend, no matter how good the new toys are.

My wife would laugh and tell me there is no way YOU would spend that much on something like that.

Now if I told her I was considering a road bicycle in that price range, she'd cringe and ask me how I planned to pay for it.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
