I fired my M 60s and had no tweeters....the left came in and out.....staticy....right was nothing. I pushed as hard as the SC57 would go...... Bad tweeters? Add an amp...... bad hookup?

Any feedback greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance....

Check your jumpers, switch speakers. Does it follow the speaker or the amp channel

Good advice. Tighten up all the terminals so that your jumpers are making full contact with all four points. I had a similar problem when I bought my first set of M-70s. No highs because the jumpers weren't making contact.

If not check what ES suggests above. And if you have any other speakers, bring those out and check the highs on the amp as well to see if it might be the amp.

Pushed as hard as the receiver will go ? Like turning the volume dial all the way up ? Then you fried the tweets or the crossover. Why would you push it that hard ?

Was an expression Tony....as you know there are no stops on any modern receiver.. but for clarity I had it around +1.5/+2.0. According to the meters on my Carvers i was peaking around 200watts in the main zone....steady around 100. And I have no need for a pair of speakers that can't handle 135 watts......
