I listen to a lot of Bobby Darin growing up as he was one of my dad's favorite, "Splish Splash" & Mack the Knife" but don't remember "Artificial Flowers" so I'll have to look it up.
    Thanks

Bonnie Raitt - "I can't make you love me"

Deep, soulful, and expertly sang. What a voice. A message I think alot of people can identify with sometime in their life. Bruce Hornsby's piano is beautiful.

It's on the same Greatest Hits or Smash Hits lp as "Beyond the Sea," "Mack" and "Splish Splash".

Robert Walden Cassotto made the mistake of saying he was going to be "as big as Sinatra!" I don't think Ole Blue Eyes liked that, and he looked and acted unfavorably at Darin's career.

    I can't believe you're a country freak.

    I'm not dear.

The few "Country" artists that I like usually had crossover hits that straddled the line.

TNTLWOIGA, took me by surprise with the lyrics...talk about deep, and I love the bass line.

TGMINK, is simply a beautiful song, and I can't help but think about my dad who has been gone for 33 years.

But most country music drives me straight up the wall!

Oh I feel so bad, my wife left me a year ago and my dog died 2 years ago, and I'm sittin here all alone and I feel so bad....Oh get the hell over it or at the very least STFU!

This is my normal reaction to most country music. LOL.

Bobby did many genres of music, even working with the great Johnny Mercer and Billy May and his orchestra. As was mentioned before "Artificial Flowers" was one of those hits. Kevin Spacey did a biopic on Bobby Darin called "Beyond The Sea" . Spacey had wanted to do this film 10 years earlier but had other films lined up. I thought Spacey did an exceptionally well job, given what he had and having to portray Bobby from age 20 to 37, even though Spacey was 45 at the time in 2004. Definitely worth checking it out.

Andy Williams had a fairly big hit with the song "Where Do I Begin?" from the movie "Love Story" back in 1970.
