The Torroidal PS is probably the best you can get in a receiver, preamp, etc. It basically overcomes the shortcommings of standard power supply units by filtering out AC line interference and delivers better and cleaner power to components. I actually have one in my Panamax MAX5000 AC regenerator as well as my Integrated amp...the sound...dead silence without a hint of interference on the line.
